The PT100 temperature sensor is a device designed for precise temperature measurement, built to strict quality standards. It is suitable for a variety of environments, including “dry-type and oil-filled transformers, machine furnaces.” The sensor meets the requirements for performance, support and reliability of international standards such as “IEC, DIN, IEEE, ABNT.”

It is particularly suitable for “installations exposed to weather and electrical disturbances.” The measurement principle is based on “evaluating the variation in electrical resistance with temperature using the temperature coefficient of pure platinum of 0.385 ohm/K,” in accordance with “IEC 751 (DIN 43760).” For reference, “IEC data applies to nominal resistance values of 100 ohms at 0°C,” and this standard also defines “tolerance classes A and B over the range from -200 to 850°C.”
