CFAD
Analog Signal to Optical Fiber Converter
Analog signal to fiber optic converter for transmitting measurements in installations exposed to electromagnetic interference.
Description
The CFAD is an innovative device designed to convert analog signals to digital signals and transmit them remotely over optical fiber. Its main function is to ensure “signal immunity and integrity, while saving physical space within cable channels.”
Ideal Applications: The device is “ideal for electrical substations, oil platforms, industrial facilities, automation systems and communication networks.”
Conversion Flexibility: The CFAD can convert “0 to 20 mA and/or 0 to 24 VDC analog signals into digital signals that travel over a single multimode optical fiber with a standard ST connector.”
Configuration and Quality: The device includes a USB port for parameter configuration using UseEasy software, developed by Electron, ensuring “practical, easy system configuration.” Built to “strict quality standards” with “state-of-the-art electronic components (SMD),” the CFAD hardware is “designed to withstand harsh operating conditions” and can be “installed directly in electrical substation panels,” meeting standards such as IEC, DIN, IEEE and ABNT.
