Magnetic PT-100 Sensor
PT100 sensor with magnetic mounting for measuring surface temperatures on transformers and electrical equipment.
Description
The magnetic PT100 temperature sensor is built to strict quality standards and designed to operate in oil-filled transformers and machine furnaces. It meets the requirements for performance, support and reliability of IEC, DIN, IEEE and ABNT standards.
Ideal for measuring temperature anywhere on the surface of a transformer tank or machine, it requires no thermowell, mounting points or adhesive for attachment and contact with the metal surface (magnetic steel). The measurement principle is to evaluate the variation in electrical resistance with temperature using the temperature coefficient of pure platinum, 0.385 ohm/K, in accordance with IEC 751 (DIN 43760). IEC data applies to nominal resistance values of 100 ohms at 0°C. This standard also defines tolerance classes A and B over the range from -200 to +850°C.
