Rupture Disk Detection Sensor

Rupture disc detection sensor for signaling pressure relief device operation and supporting equipment supervision.

Description

The Rupture Disk Sensor is a device consisting of a continuous circuit trace. It detects disk rupture: when the disk ruptures, the trace breaks and the electrical current is interrupted. Installed in series with the coil of a High-speed Auxiliary Relay (RARE), this current interruption de-energizes the relay, returning its NO/NC contacts to their rest position and activating alarms, horns, remote event annunciators or process control systems to indicate disk rupture and flow passage.
