RBM
Air Cell or Bladder Rupture Detection Relay
Bag or membrane rupture detection relay for monitoring liquid presence and signaling faults in the oil preservation system.
Description
The RBM Air Cell and Bladder Relay was developed to detect the presence of liquids (oil, water, etc.) in locations such as transformer sealing air cells and/or bladders, continuously monitoring their integrity to prevent insulating oil contamination if the seal ruptures. It is also used to detect leaks and the presence of liquids in containment tanks. Liquid temperatures can range from -40 to 125°C.
In addition to local liquid detection monitoring through a front-panel indicator LED, the RBM has a changeover relay that can also switch using inverted logic, as well as an RS-485 serial port with Modbus RTU and DNP 3 L1 protocols for remote instrument access and online monitoring
through a supervisory system
The relay module circuit is microprocessor-based, fully isolated and protected against surges and electrical induction. It is built to strict quality standards and uses state-of-the-art electronic components (SMD). Its hardware is designed to withstand harsh operating conditions and can be installed directly on power transformers and reactors, in panels in power substation yards, offshore platforms and chemical plants. It meets the requirements for performance, withstand capability and reliability specified by IEC, DIN, IEEE and ABNT standards.
